This post is responsible for the centralised configuration and management of endpoint devices. This encompasses approximately 20,000 Windows client devices and 7,500 mobile devices, including the packaging and deployment of software applications and settings via Microsoft System Center Endpoint Manager, Azure / Intune, Active Directory / Group Policy, to agreed configurations and security baselines.
Main duties of the job
- Centralised configuration and management of endpoint devices including the packaging and deployment of software applications, settings and security baselines via Microsoft System Center Endpoint Manager, Azure / Intune, Active Directory / Group Policy, to agreed configurations and security baselines.
- Centralised management of Sophos Central Antivirus ensuring endpoint devices have the latest updates and policies.
- Ensuring that the Patch Management of High and Critical Vendor (Microsoft\Non-Microsoft) Updates are applied within 14 working days in line with NHS Digital guidance.
- Configuration and Administration of Microsoft System Centre Endpoint Manager for the deployment of operating systems, software applications, security patch management and reporting.
- Develop and deploy solutions for identified security vulnerabilities including those directly identified through the Microsoft 365 Defender websites.
- Ongoing development of new operating systems and applications to ensure compatibility and compliance with existing infrastructure to meet the changing needs of our customers.
- Investigation of new systems and technology to provide additional value and efficiencies to our customers.
- Use Problem management processes to identify common incidents, develop documented workarounds, complete root-cause analysis, and apply long term fixes to eliminate recurring incidents.
