If it is identified that you require sponsorship to undertake this role your application may be withdrawnWe are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Office Manager to join our team, on a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week based in Rugeley. In the role you will manage, organise, develop and maintain our highly motivated Administration Team, whilst working closely with the SLT Team Leader and SLT Business Support Officer.
The South Speech and Language Therapy service supports children and young people with a range of communication needs through assessment and intervention in homes, schools and clinics.In the role you will be based in our Rugeley office, supporting Administration team members with their duties and clinical staff with queries. You will provide line management for Administration Staff, including Administration Assistants and Resource Assistants. You will complete supervision and appraisals with those staff that you line manage, alongside allocating tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring targets are met within the team.
There may be some travel required to attend team meetings and supervision in other settings across the geographical area. This post would be suitable for somebody with experience of managing a team, and handling client / patient queries.
Main duties of the job
The Midlands Partnership Foundation NHS Trust provides Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) Services across Staffordshire, working with commissioners in education & health services.
- To line manage, organise, develop and maintain a highly motivated Administration Team within the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service
- To be responsible for the annual appraisal of all Administration staff within Speech and Language Therapy Services, establishing key objectives and personal development plans to enhance team and individual performance
- To monitor all sickness, absence and performance management for the Administration Team
- To be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of the Administration Team including assessment and evaluation of workload, reallocating work as necessary
- To plan, organise and facilitate Administration Team Meetings.
- To develop and implement modern office systems and processes across the Administration Team and to identify ways of improving efficiency including planning and managing any changes required
- To develop standard operating procedures for A&C functions in conjunction with Team Leader for Children's Services and ensure they are adhered to
- To follow departmental policies and procedures and guidelines but have the discretion to make decisions within own boundaries
- To manage processes to maintain effective waiting times within the standards set for Children's Services and to provide information/reports regarding waiting lists as required.
