The post-holder will work within the Rheumatology and T/O Service. This service provides high quality care to patients from North Staffordshire and beyond following a range of rheumatoid conditions including trauma injury, deterioration in long term conditions and other complex presentations seen in this patient cohort.
This clinical remit of this role is supporting therapy services for the Rheumatology/T&O service based at the Haywood Hospital. This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work in an integrated approach working collaboratively with the patients; their carers and the wider multi-professional team to determine effective treatment plans and patient focused goals. The core value of the role is to improve the health and well-being of the population served
Main duties of the job
o Work with registered staff to provide a service for a defined population of service users in a variety of settings across the Partnership Trust including the community and hospitals.
o Be skilled in undertaking delegated tasks in the implementation of care/support packages and provide feedback working under the direction of a registered practitioner.
o Support the registered practitioner in the preparation and delivery of care/support packages including any administrative duties.

To make resources for use in therapy/care taking direction from registered practitioners as required.
To participate in regular supervision.
To contribute to the process of induction for new team members and demonstrates duties to others as required.
To identify own training/educational needs as part of the supervision and appraisal process in conjunction with registered practitioners. Attains and maintains an agreed level of competence through ongoing training and development.
