Job summary
We are excited to share a new role that has been created for an experienced Head of Business with an interest in mental health to join the Senior Team in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Care Group.
In the role you will be working within the Trust and with external partners to further develop and implement the Care Group's strategy and deliver the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin's Mental Health, Learning Disabilities & Autism Programme.
You will be overseeing the development and delivery of the Care Group's strategy and ensure alignment with the Business Planning. You will provide management leadership to specific strategic programmes / projects and strategically lead the Care Group's service development deployed / devolved resource. You will provide support in the development of complex business cases, therefore the need for an excellent communication style and partnering expertise is crucial.

Main duties of the job
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of key strategic projects and service improvements within the organisation, particularly when this requires engagement with key external stakeholders and is key to multi-agency pathways. Working under the direction of senior leaders, the post holder will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role will involve managing project teams, supporting stakeholder engagement, and contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives.
- Support the delivery of strategic and operational projects, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
- Manage project teams and coordinate resources to achieve project objectives, working closely with the Head of Business.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and risks, providing regular updates to senior managers.
- Contribute to the development of service improvement plans and business cases.
- Support effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- The role involves leading the development of new care models in line with national and local standards. This approach aligns with the System vision and values, facilitating appropriate and timely patient journeys through the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin health and social care system.
