We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised part time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join Brocton House, our Adult Acute Mental Health ward, based at St Georges Hospital in Stafford
You will join a developing and innovative service that aims to provide the right care and treatment at the right time, to individuals within the Staffordshire area. You will become part of an established multi-disciplinary team that has a strong emphasis on delivering evidence based occupational therapy interventions.
We are looking for someone who has experience, relevant knowledge and a passion to be working with mental health service users, contributing to interventions that promote recovery or support living well. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate drive and motivation in providing recovery based Occupational Therapy (OT) interventions.
Main duties of the job
Working in an inpatient Adult Acute mental health setting with the flexibility of working across other wards and off ward in community, dependent on skill and service need.
Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families both on the ward and in the community.
Delivering occupational therapy interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing mental health and dementia related difficulties under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
Support and co lead the provision of Ward and community activities and interventions with Service users/patients.
