We're excited to announce three Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist posts (12-month fixed term or secondment) within our inpatient forensic services - and that's not all! We are also recruiting two new Band 6 roles and one Band 7 role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing SLT teamas we roll out acommunication-friendly approach across forensic servicesanddemonstrate the impact of SLTon patient care.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing the Speech and Language Therapy assessment and interventions for the service.
You will use best practice to inform your practice and where appropriate standardised assessment tools and outcome measures.
You will work with a full time Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist
You will be part of an active AHP team in the forensic directorate made up of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapist and Dietetics and will have this network of experience and support to draw on.

- Evidence of/willing to undertake post- registration training relevant to the post. A commitment to supporting mentorship /pre-registration training for students.
- Evidence of CPD.
- Registration with HCPC.
Desirable
- A Post Graduate qualification in dysphagia
- Evidence of completing specialist short courses.
Experience
Essential
- Relevant experience/placements to the role including assessment and management of communication disorders.
- Ability to manage time and caseload effectively.
- Supporting service users, families and carers in dealing with the impacts of disability.
- Working in a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
