A fabulous opportunity has arisen within our award winning team. The North Children's Speech & language therapy service is part of MPFT and provides a service to North Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Stafford and surrounding areas.

We have an opportunity to recruit to a part time permanent Band 4 position.The service is needs lead and is able to offer you:

Main duties of the job
- Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role.
- Demonstrate at all times the Partnership Trust Values.
- Be a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant Practitioner (AP) and have an understanding of the knowledge and skills required for the role.
- They will have a focus on children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder.
- Be responsible, under the guidance of a registered practitioner, for a defined population of service users in a variety of settings across the Partnership Trust including homes, schools and clinics.
- Be skilled in supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of care/support packages under the direction of a registered practitioner.
- Have supervisory responsibilities as required (e.g. work allocation) and contribute to service.
- Higher apprenticeship level 5 /Foundation Degree in related subject/ assistant practitioner qualification or equivalent.
- Evidence of/willing to undertake training relevant to the post.
