The closing date is 30 December 2025

Job summary

*INTERNAL MPFT APPLICATIONS ONLY*

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a rewarding opportunity for a dynamic and experienced registered nurse to step into the role of Senior Staff Nurse. This pivotal position sits within the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Care Group's Cancer and Supportive Therapies Team, based in North Staffordshire.

You'll become part of a forward-thinking service that specialises in delivering oncology and haematology care across a variety of community-based settings, including health centres and community hospitals. Our focus is to ensure patients undergoing specialist treatment at University Hospital of North Midlands receive high-quality, compassionate supportive therapies close to home, enhancing continuity of care and quality of life.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for candidates who have the necessary skills and experience to provide the delivery of a specialist nurse led service. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your career. You will be providing specialist advice, support and clinical care for people throughout their treatment pathway.

To be considered for this post you must be an adult NMC registered nurse with experience in the care of patients with an oncological or haematological condition. Evidence of experience and additional post registration qualifications or competencies relating to the speciality or other relevant discipline must be demonstrated. A full induction and competency framework will be provided in line with current evidence-based guidelines. Full support will be provided to ensure transition into this specialist role and an opportunity to access further education to enhance the knowledge and skills required.

The successful applicant will fulfil the values of the organisation in the delivery of high quality and safe patient centred care.

Post holders will be required to work flexibly on a rota system across a 5-day working week and will work across the community clinics.

Most importantly we are looking for someone with a passion for the speciality with the ability to lead and undertake nurse led clinics working along side colleagues to ensure continuous quality service provision.
