We have an exciting opportunity to join our Ambulatory Clinic based in Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth as a Band 5 NMC Registered Nurse.
You will provide complex care for ambulatory patients and have a clear and demonstrable passion and skill in wound care, with enthusiasm for delivering high-quality person-centred care in line with the Trust's organisational vision and values.
With strong communication and organisational skills and a flexible approach, you will be expected to work collaboratively with patients and key partners to facilitate the best possible patient experience and outcomes.
You will have strong clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills with the ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team and will organise and prioritise your own day- to-day work tasks and activities and delegate tasks to junior colleagues. A commitment to professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement is key
The service runs over 7 days and you would be expected to work on a shift pattern to cover the service requirements.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel over a large geographical area this could include clinics in East Staffordshire so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Band 5 Registered nurse who demonstrates passion and ability to assess, plan, provide and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients.
As part of this role, you will be expected to:
- Deliver complex wound care, catheter care, management of line care, venepuncture, and patient education over several locations to ambulatory patients
- Lead on MDT clinics, where we proactively manage patient care
- Liaise with the wider MDT including DN's, Podiatrists, TVN, Heart Failure and Vascular Nurses, SPHT
