Job summary
Community Secondary Mental Health Services across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin have identified an increasing need for tailored mental health support for neurodivergent adults, particularly those with Autism and ADHD.
We are launching a 12-month pilot project aimed at developing and delivering a series ofonline psychoeducational workshopsdesigned to meet the unique needs of this population.
As part of this role, you will:
- Lead and facilitate online workshops for neurodivergent adults.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.
- Attend networking and planning meetings using a hybrid approach (a mix of remote and face-to-face working).
- Contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the pilot programme.

Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for leading on the Autism and ADHD pathway pilot which will involve delivering a number of Autism and ADHD modules to services users open to secondary mental health services.
- The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that individuals who are referred into the service have their occupational needs assessed and interventions/recommendations are identified to meet these needs and that these are incorporated into an overall formulation of need and appropriate plan of care.
- You will also be expected to be available for consultation, support and clinical supervision to other health professionals working within the Community Mental Health
- Delivering a high quality clinical service to patients and their families.
- Managing a complex caseload including responsible for clinical and caseload supervision of other team members where identified.
- You will be responsible for providing the occupational therapy process to a specialist clinical pathway.
- Delivering occupational therapy interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing mental health related difficulties.
- Pathway Service and other areas of the Trust where identified as appropriate.
