Job summary
We are currently recruiting to two Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapy posts within the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Care Group.
Rotation 1- This rotation is part of a wider Mental Health rotation with opportunities to rotate into the Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment Team, BeeU (Children & Young People), Forensics, Community Mental Health & Older Adult Inpatients (Holly Ward). This rotation is for 12-month period.
Rotation 2- This rotation is part of the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin ICS includes Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH); Robert Jones Agnes Hunt (RJAH); Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust (Shropcom) & Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT), offering an opportunity to work with various partner organisations. This rotation is for 6 months.
The rotational posts are ideal fornewly qualified Occupational Therapist or if you are seeking to widen your career opportunities through working in a range of specialities and settings. Occupational Therapy students who are about to qualify are encouraged to apply.

Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for the Occupational Therapy assessment of care needs, contributing to the formulation of the person's needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person's negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions.
- In conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide Occupational Therapy interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/or participate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical pathway.
- You will be working in a variety of community and inpatient mental health services and geographies. This may require flexibility working across pathways, dependent on skill and service need.
