Job summary
You will play a pivotal role as the Advanced Pharmacist Acute/Community Health Services within our team based at the Haywood Hospital and offers you the opportunity to input to consultant ward rounds / team meetings, provide directorate support, rotate into mental health services and provide a training and management element to support career development.
You will be working as part of a well-established and supported team of clinical pharmacists leading and driving the development of the clinical and operational pharmacy services. This role will be extremely rewarding, and requires a motivated, dynamic individual who is skilled in working at operational level with a range of stakeholders and a track record for service development and delivering to agreed targets.

We are pleased to be able to offer this role at Band 8a and as a development pathway for a Band 7 Pharmacist to progress into an 8a role. We'll offer support and funding to obtain your postgraduate clinical pharmacy certificate and Independent Prescriber qualification.
Main duties of the job
As the Advanced Pharmacist Acute/Community Health Services you will be responsible for:
The safe, effective and efficient management and delivery of pharmacy operational services at the Haywood Community Hospital and designated Trust inpatient physical/mental health community hospitals/clinic settings.
Working closely with the Deputy Director of Pharmacy in redesigning and transforming Pharmacy services across the physical/mental health portfolio and lead on audit and quality assurance of pharmacy services.
Develop, agree and monitor key performance indicators through the Service Lead Pharmacist to identify that all legal, professional and quality standards are met and to demonstrate continuous quality improvement and communicate these to the pharmacy senior management team.
Develop and deliver comprehensive training and education on medicine issues within procurement and formulary services to members of the pharmacy service and the wider MDT.
