Job summary
We currently have an opportunity to join our Children's Mental Health Leadership Team.
We support flexible working and blended working across our function. We have also co-produced an 'operational development programme' to support development, peer support and progression within our services.
We are seeking someone an enthusiastic Band 7 who is passionate about developing Children's service and having a positive impact on their experience and outcomes. This post offers a great opportunity for an experienced, child focussed, operational team leader to develop and enhance leadership skills and experience in the specialist field of Children's Mental Health.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing:
- Day to day operational management and delivery of services within the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensuring performance within designated trust standards including clinical, key performance indicators and financial management targets
- Management of staff within the team, leadership, delivery and delegation of management supervision, ensuring appropriate clinical / professional supervision
All of our teams work in a multi-disciplinary way providing a mix of consultation, assessment, formulation and intervention services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Children and Young People, strong leadership skills, team work ethics, a sense of accountability and an ability to work under pressure
Main duties of the job
- To undertake a range of management tasks, including but not limited to; recruitment and selection processes, performance management, appraisal, managing attendance and staff development
- To work in partnership with own team, clinical and operational leads to promote good working relationships with all members of the MDT
- To provide high visibility leadership, driving forward team developments by personal example, fostering good interpersonal relationships and encouraging high staff morale
- To ensure that the voice of CYP and their families/carers are listened to suggested changes to practice are respected and where necessary, escalated to senior decision maker. Thereby embedding a 'you said, we did', ethos within the team
