Job summary
**INTERNAL MPFT APPLICANTS ONLY**
The post holder will work alongside an established operational and clinical leadership team in community nursing, therapies and long term conditions. They will work closely with system partners to provide safe, effective high quality nursing and therapy services in East and South East Staffordshire.
The General Manager is responsible for the effective operational management of the community services portfolio covering a number of Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in the East and South East Staffs area. Working in partnership with NHS commissioners, Primary Care Network Clinical Directors and other partner agencies the General Manager will work to develop responsive and localised services that best respond to the needs of local populations whilst delivering the Care Group Ambitions and working with the other General Managers to ensure service users across Staffordshire receive a consistent service offer.
This role is a senior management role with a high profile and requires applicants that have a significant level of leadership knowledge and operational experience, including budget management, leading large scale change, workforce planning, business planning, managing complex HR issues and leading multiple dispersed teams. Experience of leading community based services is essential for this role.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the effective service line management and delivery of the agreed strategic direction within portfolio
Responsible for the setting and monitoring of the portfolio Budget
Responsible for setting and monitoring of portfolio objectives in line with Care Group Business Plan and objectives
Post will included Tactical On Call Duties subject to rota.
Responsible to the Head of service for the performance of defined (county wide) portfolio, reporting on performance targets identifying risks and mitigating actions
