Main duties of the job
The post holder has a lead role in the operational leadership of the staff within the Adult Community Learning Disability Service across Shropshire and South Staffordshire.The post holder is responsible for providing operational leadership to oversee the safe and effective delivery of services and adherence to all relevant Trust Policy and Procedures.
The post holder contributes to business planning and service development/improvement initiatives to maximise the quality and efficiency of the service. The post holder will lead on service innovation and development across Community Adult Learning Disability Services and will work in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team and Clinical Leads to ensure these resources and efficiencies are maximised.
The post holder will have a flexible approach to work, skills in prioritising key tasks and the ability to meet deadlines. The post holder will have daily contact with a wide range of staff at all levels internal and external to MPFT including regular contact with service users, carers, partner organisations, external agencies and third sector organisations.
The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of staff within the Adult Learning Disability Services, leadership, the delivery and delegation of management supervision and ensuring appropriate clinical / professional supervision takes place as per Trust policy and procedure.
