Permanent Community Staff Nurse Positions

We currently have vacancies for Community Staff Nurses in our North Alliance Community Nursing teams.

Shelton & Hanley PCN & Hanley, Bucknall & Bentilee PCN- based at Bentilee Neighbourhood CentreNewcastle South PCN based at Bradwell Hospital

We are looking for Qualified Nurses to join our busy, supportive & friendly teams. These posts are suitable for experienced nurses looking for a new challenge or for those looking to return to community setting.

Our Community Nursing teams assess, plan and deliver nursing care to patients within their own homes, in line with evidence based practice. Many people would be unable to live at home without the support they receive from the community nursing teams and community services are admitting patients with a more complex acuity than ever before, with increasingly specialist treatment and care being provided by highly skilled staff.

Main duties of the job

A position in our community nursing teams could be for you if:

You have a commitment to providing high standards of holistic care to our patients. You are able to work effectively on you own, and work well within a team, demonstrating a wide-range of clinical skills.

You will be competent, or willing to gain competency in skills such as palliative & end of life care, long term condition management, medication administration, complex wound care and bladder & bowel management.

Due to the nature of community working, ability to travel across the patch to provide care to patients is essential.

You will receive support into the role through induction, training and beyond. There will be opportunities for personal development and career progression if desired.
