Job summary
We are recruiting for a Health Care Support Worker to join our new team within Specialist Eating Disorders in Stafford.You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team member for the newly developed Eating Disorder Day Patient Service based at St George's Hospital, Stafford.
Clinical Support Workers will assist in the delivery of psycho-education groups and rehabilitation activities in the day programme alongside supported eating.
Clinical Support Workers have a vital role to play in observing client actions and interactions across the day patient and inpatient setting, and reporting these in a clear and concise manner to qualified staff.

Main duties of the job
Physical health monitoring, delivery of psycho-education groups and rehabilitation sessions including supported eating.Clinical Dutieso To act at all times in a manner that does not bring the Trust or the profession of nursing into disrepute.o To support qualified staff by undertaking directed tasks or the monitoring and reporting back activity.o To bring to the attention of a qualified member of staff any action or activity that is likely to place the client or ward visitors at risk.o To maintain safe boundaries with clients and visitors.o To maintain appropriate liaison with associated professionals, ensuring that all observations of relevance are relayed in a concise and timely manner.o To assist or act on behalf of those clients who cannot maintain their own personal health / hygiene and well being.o Has a basic understanding or willingness to learn about Naso Gastric (NG) feeding / PEG feeding.o Has the ability to support the qualified member of staff with setting up NG feeds / PEG feeds and monitoring them.o To assist clients in the maintenance of activities of daily living.o To act as the clients advocate if they lack the capacity or ability to do so for themselves.o To listen, be supportive and empathetic to all clients.
