Job summary
This is an opportunity to be involved in an established team within the wider CAMHS structure, as a joint initiative between health and education. The post holder will work across the Cannock locality as well as supporting other MHSTs across South Staffordshire. You will work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided. You will work alongside the team to deliver parent, staff well-being, 1:1 and group work sessions. You must be a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner/ Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and have obtained the relevant EMHP/CWP Post Graduate Diploma qualification following the completion of a CYP IAPT approved training in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (C&Y IAPT).
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to work as part of our Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
- You will deliver evidence-based, early intervention for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health presentations, working with a range of professionals to direct best practice, in a holistic, and child centred way.
- Help children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.
- Support and facilitate staff in education settings to identify mental health and wellbeing needs, promoting a Whole School Approach and embedding a positive ethos and attitude to mental health and wellbeing.
