Specialist Learning Disabilities DirectorateBand 4 - Nursing AssociateFixed Term 18 MonthsSouth Staffordshire Community Learning Disability TeamWe are seeking a full time highly motivated Band 4 Nursing Associate to work within the Community Learning Disability Team in South Staffordshire where we provide high quality, community based, integrated services for adults with learning disabilities.This is currently an 18-month fixed term opportunity whilst our current Nursing Associate is away completing her Nurse Training. If successful, you will work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, providing nursing care and delivering all aspects of the nursing process whilst having the opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally during this time. Main duties of the job
The overriding purpose of the role of Nursing Associate is to support the provision of the highest quality patient/client care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
The Nursing Associate will have a breadth of knowledge and skills providing holistic and person centred care and support for people with Learning Disabilities and in a variety of settings. The nursing associate will work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, providing nursing care and delivering all aspects of the nursing process.This includes undertaking a full range of routine care and treatment tasks as directed by the registered nurse within the Community Learning Disability Team.
The Nursing Associate will work under the supervision from a registered nurse or other registered professional to provide high quality care and treatment as a member of the multi- disciplinary team informed by excellent communication, analysis of information, planning and organisational skills.
