Main duties of the job
The Social Care pathway provides an integrated, recovery focussed service to local people of South Staffordshire aged 16 and over, who are experiencing significant and disabling functional mental health difficulties.
Our social workers are core members of the integrated mental health pathwaysand are valued and respected in their role supporting the recovery journey for adults with significant mental health needs.
We are supported by strong partnerships and working relationships with local independent service providers and voluntary agencies and pride ourselves on providing a responsive, reflective and effective service to the communities of South Staffordshire.

We currently have opportunities for a Level 1 social care professional and would welcome applications who are registered with Social work England.
Dependent on an individuals location and preference we will be in a position to negotiate work-base with them. The Social Care Pathway in the East of South Staffordshire currently has accommodation in Lichfield and Burton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and innovative individual who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills and has a working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.
The successful candidate(s) must be a team player with excellent communication and IT skills.
Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA)
On appointment, the post holder will be auto-enrolled in the SWLA and aligned to the appropriate British Association of Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework. The relevant SWLA stage (i.e. stage 1 (ASYE), 2 (Social Worker) or 3 (Advanced Social Worker) will also be agreed taking all prior Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and relevant experience into consideration. The post holder will be required to take responsibility for their own Continuous Professional Development.
