We are looking for an individual with excellent partnership and communication skills, enthusiasm, drive and with a clinical background to be part of our Perinatal Mental Health Provider Collaborative.

MPFT is the Lead Provider for the West Midlands Perinatal Mental Health Provider Collaborative. The Collaborative represents a partnership approach to the redesign of perinatal pathways across the region.

You will need proven and sophisticated skills in managing relationships with clinicians and operational leads across different organisations, within and beyond the Collaborative.

This is a new and innovative project and an exciting time to join the team, with the chance to shape and influence clinical services for the better. In order to do this, the postholder must have an entrepreneurial spirit, a can-do attitude and the ability to drive the Provider Collaborative in a way that puts the patients first but brings all providers along in a united manner.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of a team managing and monitoring the Provider Collaborative care pathways, having oversight of patient movements and inpatient resources available to the PC and providing operational and clinical support to the PC team / Case Managers.

The core function of this post is to ensure that excellent standards of clinical quality, co-production and performance are maintained in services to patients, through the application of processes of clinically informed commissioning, clinical pathway, service development and management of contracts with service providers. You will be required to report on the complex patient-level activity and pathways across the PC network, enabling scrutiny of quality, governance, operational performance and financial indicators. You will have responsibility for leading on the monitoring of quality in commissioned services, ensuring that safe and effective care pathways are in place for all patients in PMH care settings that are consistent with the aims and strategy of the Collaborative.

You will work with a broad range of stakeholders from across the PC to implement sustainable interventions that drive patient care, innovation, quality and effectiveness across the region. Working effectively with and through others, you will contribute to the development of a 'high performance culture' across the PC and will help secure and sustain business for the Collaborative.

  • Relevant additional professional qualification (e.g. master's level) or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist are
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development

  • Detailed operational and clinical knowledge of Perinatal Mental Health, acquired through post graduate training or equivalent experience, plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
