This role will provide General management and service development for Staffordshire reporting to and deputising for the Head of Operations and will be an integral member of the Acute Care at Home Management Team.
This role will manage a team of service managers & a programme management team, and have operational and strategic responsibility for all aspects of the service; Unscheduled Care Coordination Centre, 2 hour Urgent Community Response, the Community Rapid Intervention Service and Virtual Wards.
Main duties of the job
Business and Operational Management of the service with regard to Admission Avoidance; ensuring resources are used to maximum efficiency, whilst ensuring safety, quality and capacity are delivered.
To deliver in this role, you will need experience of working within a multi-professional NHS team and collaborative working with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have a strong commitment to improving performance whilst remaining passionate about quality and safety.
You will have a strong proven track record of inclusive leadership and staff management. You will have a proven history of successful operational management experience, and will demonstrate a high standard of communication and organisational skills, and an ability to use your initiative. This role will also have opportunities to lead on service improvement projects.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care and performance delivery along with robust financial and workforce management experience. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking at furthering their experience in the NHS.
