The Podiatry Service in the North Staffordshire area is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 advanced diabetes Podiatrists registered with the Health Care Professions Council to join our award-winning Podiatry Services Team at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The posts are permanent, and we are recruiting two full time roles and will require the post holder to be flexible and able to work in a variety of locations across the Trust, as the service requires. The service covers a population of approximately 470,000; you will be working with a team of podiatrists and podiatry assistants.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to provide specialist assessment, treatment and management / wound care for high risk patients with complex foot ulceration. There will also be involvement with health education and training events. Provision of care will be either independently or within multidisciplinary teams in community mainly with links to consultant-led outpatient clinics.

You must be registered with the Health Care Professions Council and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. It is essential to have initiative, a strong team spirit and a passion to drive innovative practice.

The post is permanent 37.5 hours a week and will require the post holder to be flexible and to work in a variety of locations across the trust as the service requires. The post holder should be able to drive and have their own car to travel around the district.
