Welcome! The Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) services are busy caring teams consisting of Administration staff, PWPs, CBT Practitioners, and Counsellors. We deliver Talking Therapies to the people of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin which has exciting, diverse and growing modern towns, surrounded by the stunning Shropshire countryside.

Our NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) teams are great places to work. We are redefining the service offer and aiming to further develop the Step 2 Service provision as part of this.

We are recruiting one full time Supervisor Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) - this post is fixed term until 31/03/2024. Pending on changes to Service configuration this role may become permanent in the future.

You will offer evidence-based practise as a PWP, and will also help to develop, support and provide training in innovative practice to both trainee and qualified NHS Talking Therapies PWP's within the Service. There is also a significant case management and clinical supervision aspect to the role.

Main duties of the job

  • Qualification from PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate or Level 3 undergraduate course).
  • Registered Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with BABCP or BPS.
  • IAPT approved supervisors training (or be able and willing to complete this at first available opportunity)

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Significant experience of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
  • Significant experience of working as a qualified PWP
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time

Desirable

  • Experience of working in Primary Care Services
  • Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
  • Experience in supervising qualified and trainee PWP's
