**Internal MPFT Candidates only** CAMHS Trainee Family Therapist

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

This is an exciting new opportunity for internal staff (staff already employed by MPFT) to apply for a Trainee Family Therapist position within our core CAMHS Service. We have three training posts available, which are aligned with Cannock, Burton and Lichfield CAMHS but will also include opportunities to join clinics led by qualified Family Therapists in our other teams. In addition to contributing to systemic and family practice within our CAMHS offer, you will need to attend external training clinics (as allocated by the course provider) and formal training sessions at sites outside of the MPFT footprint.

You must have already secured a confirmed training place on a qualifying-level Family Therapy MSc course - evidence of this will be required during the recruitment process*. In return, we can offer you a fixed term (two-year), full-time, Band 6 training post. For staff already employed in a substantive role at Band 7 we have agreed pay-protection for the duration of the course. On completion of training course requirements (usually within two years), candidates will transition to a qualified Band 7 - 8a development role as a Family Therapist within one of our core CAMHS teams. The location will be dependent on service needs at that time in line with our vision to have a dedicated Family Therapist post based within each of our 5 CAMHS Teams.

*We can consider applications from staff members who are partway through a qualifying level Family Therapy training course.
