Job summary

Base: Cross Street Clinic, Cross Street, Burton on Trent, DE14 1EG

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours a week OR Part time 20 hours a week (Please specify your preference in your application)

Pay scale: Band 2

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join our CAMHS team based in Burton.

You will be responsible for providing confidential and efficient receptionist support to the CAMHS. You will be expected to follow instructions, prioritise your work and demonstrate initiative in order to fulfil the requirements of the post within prescribed parameters and following guidance from supervisors.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential plus an ability to deal with sensitive phone calls and be a key member of the team.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to utilise a personal computer for word processing and database management.

You will need to be self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise your daily workload whilst also managing your working time effectively. You will be able work independently as well as being a good team player, with excellent communication and accuracy skills.

To provide general administrative services to support the smooth running of clinical services including:1.1. Typing letters and reports1.2. General office Photocopying/faxing/scanning/e-mailing.1.3. Preparing letters for external posting (letters in envelopes, franking)1.4. Distributing correspondence digitally (using Docman, e-mail etc)1.5. Uploading paper documents onto the RiO clinical system.1.6. To prepare paperwork/information for health promotion events including campaigns and service promotion within a variety of mediums, particularly utilising virtual platforms such as websites and social media.1.7. Making bookings and cancellations e.g. training places, rooms and interpreters.1.8. Receive, sort and distribute internal and external mail.1.9. Monitoring of an individual or team inbox and sign post accordingly.1.10. To deal professionally and promptly with telephone enquiries, taking and processing messages accurately and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.1.11. Dealing with patient/public enquires about services - liaising with professionals where required and escalate as appropriate.1.12. Providing cover for other administrative colleagues during staff absence.
