Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual who is seeking to develop their leadership skills to work in a new and innovative role supporting the Operational Manager and Operational Leads of the County Wide Occupational Therapy (OT) Service and Care Home Intensive Support Team (CHIST).

The post offers the applicant flexibility with a mixture of face to face working within the bases of Midlands Partnership Trust and an element of virtual, home working.

The Occupational Therapy Service and the Care Home Intensive Support Team are services which Operate County Wide. The teams have a variety of skilled and experienced clinical and administrative individuals who are passionate about delivering high quality services to those in their care and whom they support.

The Occupational Therapy Service provides assessment and treatment to adults aged over 18 with a primary physical need within their place of residence, The CHIST Team provides interventions within care homes with the aim of improving patient outcomes, this is done in a number of ways including providing global home clinical support, clinical advice, and guidance and mentoring.

CPD is actively encouraged through a variety of training opportunities. The post holder will be an integral part of the OT and CHIST Teams'

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent communication skills, comprehensive IT knowledge and a passion to support the growth of the services. Part of this post will involve collection and interpretation of data together with inputting into systems monitoring staffing levels and developing standard operating procedures, close liaison with other services will be essential.

Be proactive in undertaking specific responsibilities as delegated by Operational Lead/s i.e. take responsibility for work allocation, monitoring off annual leave and sickness/absence.

Maintain and contribute to the development of standards of practice, conduct or decision making in conjunction with Operational Leads.

Promote effective interpersonal relationships with all members of the multi-professional team thereby ensuring a good team spirit, collaborative and person centred working practices.
