Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well established, friendly and supportive Community Learning Disability Team covering the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Locality. This position is for 30 hours per week ( 0.8 wte)
You will be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team including Psychology, Psychiatry, Community Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy. Our team works with Adults (18+) with a diagnosed learning disability and a critical and substantial health need.
This is a dynamic post that gives the successful applicant a wide range of experiences. You will be working closely with multi-disciplinary/agency teams in addressing a range of issues, completing clinical assessments, inputting into PBS Plans and the opportunity to offer support to the LD Dementia Team.

Main duties of the job
To contribute to the delivery of a modern Occupational Therapy Service by working with the multi-disciplinary team, other service providers, clients, carers and families to, provide an effective client centred service.
All clinical work will be underpinned by theoretical and technical knowledge, and practical experience gained from a degree in Occupational Therapy. A range of assessments will be used by in the areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure in order to establish the needs of the individual. Service delivery may take place in residential settings, day service settings and community, including client's homes. Supervision will be available throughout the case management process but the post holder will be expected to take responsibility for routine procedures.
