Job summary

We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to work with a growing multi-disciplinary team within children and Young Peoples Autism. We provide a first-class service for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition.

You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team with the children and Young Peoples Autism team providing a service for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition. You will complete multi-functional assessment using comprehensive frameworks of reference, and contributing toward the diagnosis of children and young people within the services.

You will be responsible for providing the Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition. You will supervise junior staff and students for specific pieces of work and contribute to their education.

Main duties of the job

  • You will complete multi-functional assessment using comprehensive frameworks of reference and contributing toward the diagnosis of children and young people within the services.
  • Be responsible for providing the Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition.
  • Supervise junior staff and students for specific pieces of work and contribute to their education.
  • This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work closely with multi-disciplinary/agency teams in addressing a range of issues with children and young people who may have LD/ASC and other health needs i.e. physical health or mental health.
