Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nursing Sister/Charge Nurse to join our friendly and innovative District Nursing Team covering Stone and Eccleshall PCN based at Trentside Clinic, Stone.

We have a great interest in moving District Nursing forward in line with local population and service needs.

Essential requirements for the post:

Degree in Nursing or equivalent

Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing

Post Graduate studies in nursing and Mentorship qualification 998-997.

Main duties of the job: You will manage a caseload over a wide geographical area by providing support and supervision to staff to enable provision of high quality person-centred care to patients within their own homes and clinic settings.

You will hold a key role in building and maintaining excellent working practices with Social Care and Allied Health colleagues within the primary care network.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the planning and delivery of care and the management of staff in the absence of the Clinical Lead/Operational Lead. You must be able to demonstrate managerial and leadership skills and be able to make sound clinical decisions independently.

We are looking for someone with excellent clinical, communication, interpersonal and team skills to work collaboratively across all care settings.
