Are
you ready to progress your career?
Do
you want to be part of a high quality, innovative work based learning
programme aimed at shaping the delivery of maternity care for the future?
Then
the Midwifery Degree Apprenticeship could be for you.
An
exciting opportunity has arisen to join our new cohort of Midwifery Degree
Apprenticeships (MDA) within the Womens CSU. We are looking for someone who
is passionate about delivering high quality, evidence-based women-centred
care.
This
is an apprenticeship where you will have the opportunity to earn while you
learn throughout the duration of the programme.
You
will be already employed as a Maternity Support Worker at LTHT and will
transfer to a Maternity Degree Apprenticeship role on a fixed term contract
for 40 months at Leeds Teaching Hospitals (LTHT). Upon successful completion
of your apprenticeship and once you have your NMC pin you will be employed as
a band 5 Registered Midwife.
Main duties of the job
This
is a developmental role. The apprentice will work towards progression into
the post of Midwife through successful completion of the Degree programme

They
will develop and maintain knowledge, skills and behaviours related to the
role of the Midwife within the service and through completion of the
Midwifery Degree Apprenticeship programme which includes working in care
settings and the delivery of evidence-based women-centred care.
The
training programme emphasises the role of the Midwife in providing high
quality evidence based care to women and their families and develop the ways
in which they can ensure delivery of holistic care. Holistic care is a
whole-person approach which considers, and equally values, physical,
