Advert - Band 4 Administrative Officer
Yorkshire
& Humber Maternal Medicine Network
An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised Band
4 Administrative Officer to join the Yorkshire & Humber Maternal Medicine
Network. We are looking for a
self-motivated individual to co-ordinate and facilitate the administrative
function of the Maternal Medicine service.

Main duties of the job
The
post holder must hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They
will be required to plan and organise the administrative function and make
effective and efficient judgements on a range of situations.
The
post holder will communicate and provide advice, information and guidance
with a range of contacts internally and externally on issues relating to the
operation of the Yorkshire & Humber Maternal Medicine Network.
About us
The
Yorkshire & the Humber Maternal Medicine Network is made up of two
specialist Maternal Medicine Centres (MMCs) held within Sheffield Teaching
Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation
Trust alongside services delivered in local DGHs supporting the population of
Y&H. The post holder will ensure that adequate administrative support is
provided at all times across the network, including preparation and minute
taking at the weekly MDTs at both sites.
Leeds
Teaching Hospitals are acting as the lead provider for the MMN and therefore
roles will be recruited via LTHT but will require working across the network.
The base location is to be agreed on an individual basis. There will be an
element of remote working to this post.

PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The
Yorkshire & the Humber region has come together to form a Maternal
Medicine Network; this includes three Local Maternity Systems (Humber, Coast
& Vale, South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw, and West Yorkshire &
Harrogate) working with commissioners, providers, clinicians, the Yorkshire
& the Humber Maternity Clinical Network, service users via the Maternity
Voices Partnerships and has the support of the Integrated Care Systems.
The
aim is to provide equitable and expert support for women with pre-existing or
pregnancy-induced significant medical issues, to ensure sustainability of
that care wherever in Yorkshire & the Humber they may live, and
additionally, to provide perinatal mental health support or other onward
referral as required.

- Educated to NVQ Level 4/5, BTEC Level Higher National Diploma & Certificate (HND/C) or equivalent level
- Substantive Administrative experience
- ECDL Qualification Word Processing and Computer literacy skills to RSA3/NVQ3 Level (or equivilant demonstrable skills)
- S56
Desirable
- Previous NHS experience in an administrative capacity
- Previous experience working in Maternity Services

- Previous experience of dealing with sensitive and/or complex situations
- Experience of dealing with confidential information
