An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Ward Clerk to join the Theatres and Anaesthetics CSU at St James Hospital on David Beevers Day Unit working Monday to Friday, 12noon to 20:00 with the flexibility of being able to cover earlier shifts if needed.

We are looking for someone who is positive, patient focused, motivated, has good communication skills and works well within a Multidisciplinary Team.

You will need to work closely with our other ward clerk and admin colleagues and the nursing team to ensure the smooth running of the ward and providing a safe, patient centered service for all our patients.

To undertake clerical and related duties on the ward and enable Sister/Charge Nurse and other ward staff to concentrate more freely on direct patient care. This will involve considerable liaison with other departments and wards on behalf of the ward staff.

The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care.

The jobholder will work within an area caring for a number of patients.
