Job summary
We
are seeking a knowledgeable, experienced and qualified resilience
professional to lead the Emergency Preparedness function for our busy
hospitals. As one of the largest NHS organisations in the country we are on a
journey of continuous improvement in our Emergency Preparedness, Resilience
and Response arrangements.
You
will be joining an established and well-regarded team, providing expertise
and support to our clinical service, clinical support and corporate teams
whilst ensuring our organisation wide plans and procedures meet national
standards and best practice.
Working
to the Chief Operating Officer and with our Leeds, WYAAT and Local Resilience
Forum partners you will be an excellent communicator, organised and resilient
and able to inform and influence at all levels. As a calm and considered
professional youll also be confident in delivering training and developing
exercises whilst ensuring lessons from incidents and events are captured and
implemented

Main duties of the job
Youll
already have well-developed Emergency Planning and Business Continuity skills

Business Continuity planning and response agenda and ensuring that the
organisation discharges its responsibilities in relation to the Civil
Contingencies Act 2004 and all subsequent Department of Health and NHS
national guidance and legislation such as the Health and Social Care Act
(2012), NHS standard contract, NHS England Core Standards for EPRR, NHS England
Framework and NHS England Business Continuity Management Framework. The post
holder will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant Trust guidance is
developed, plans remain current and are regularly tested, mechanisms are in
place to ensure that operational staff at all levels are trained, the Chief
Executive and the Board are regularly updated as to progress and that robust
links are maintained with other organisations to ensure that plans are
integrated across a multi-agency system.
The

management responsibility for the Emergency Planning Officer and
administrative support.
