Job summary
We
have an exciting opportunity for a caring, compassionate, and motivated
individual to join our friendly admin team in Older Peoples Medicine as an
Administration Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to join an established
team to help make a difference to the care of Older Adults both in Hospital and
across Leeds. In this varied but fast paced role the successful candidate will
be working alongside Leeds Community Healthcare helping to manage the Home Ward
(a Virtual Ward), attending the daily MDTs, working with the Assistant Business
Manager to assist with service improvement.
The successful candidate will be a compassionate
individual who is highly organised with a keen eye for detail as well as
excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of a secretarial
role with MDT experience would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job
The
Home Ward is a joint service between Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
(LTHT), Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) NHS Trust and other local health
organisations. The service provides a rapid response to care for people who
are living with moderate or severe frailty in their own home during an
episode of ill health. The successful candidate will work very closely with
Leeds Community Healthcare, assisting with preparing the daily MDT list,
attending the MDT and capturing actions and collaborating the performance
data.
The
Administration Coordinator will be required to work collaboratively with
Consultants, Matrons, and other medical colleagues to support the admin of
new service developments/projects within the CSU alongside the Assistant
Business Manager

administration/secretarial service to the Older Peoples Medicine Team. This will include secretarial activities
for example word processing, filing, diary management, post management, etc.,
but will also include developing, maintaining, and managing office and
information systems. The post holder will play a key role in preparing
agendas, taking, transcribing, and distributing minutes, organising follow up
action and ensuring an effective bring forward/briefing system in respect of
key documentation required.

effective administrative service is delivered. Where necessary the post holder will take
responsibility for the recruitment and selection administration process,
induction and orientation programmes, initiating initial grievance and

department including reviewing work performance.
