Job summary

The Diabetes department based in Beckett Wing have an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 3 Database Support Officer to join our very friendly and approachable team consisting of medical secretaries and administrative staff. We work very closely with our clinical and admin teams forging strong relationships to deliver the best care for our services users.

Previous experience in data collection would be an advantage for this role.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely submission of the data for the National Diabetes Audit. This role requires a high level of concentration and will involve extracting data from several different areas and uploading them directly onto the national database.

You will also be repsonsible for collecting the data for the National Diabetes Foot Audit.

General adhoc administrative tasks will also be expected as and when required.

About us

The diabetes admin team comprises of 1 senior medical secretary, 3 medical secretaries, 2 clerk/typists and the database support officer (this post) The team are hardworking, very knowledgeable and are a great bunch of people who are fun to be around.

The Diabetes Centre is a busy and exciting department that offers an ample number of opportunities to learn more about the service, and the CSU. Leeds Teaching Hospitals is great to be a part of as it has lots of new and interesting opportunities made available for staff.

This post is based at the St James Hospital in a busy but friendly department, and you will be expected to prioritise your workload to meet the demands of the role. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work using their own initiative.
