The CT service is based across 3 sites, St James University Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary and Seacroft Community Diagnostic Centre, supporting a range of specialties within the Trust including neurosurgery, paediatrics, trauma, oncology, and vascular surgery.
The role of Departmental Secretary is an important one within the service, dealing with administrative tasks within the clinical department. These include minute taking, arranging meetings, coordinating CT safety investigations, supporting the team managers and the Lead Radiographer, as well as the clinical staff. The role will also support recruitment and HR functions within the department.

Main duties of the job
To provide a high quality secretarial/clerical service including specialist word processing/audio skills.
To organise their dedicated managers workload schedules by collating notes relevant to meetings and ensuring supporting papers are ready and available as appropriate
Taking minutes at meetings will be required
To maintain electronic diaries and arrange appointments and meetings
To assist with the ordering of general stock and establish and maintain filing systems to meet the administrative needs of the department.
To assist managers with the checking of unreported and unverified reports on CRIS. This may involve the use of PAS.
To assist managers with the submission of data and spreadsheets associated with staff time sheets to the payroll department salaries and wages submissions.
The post holder will assist managers with the checking/ validation of the modality daily and weekly waiting list and will be expected to collate, type and submit breach reports approved by the Team Managers.
The post holder will assist managers with the typing and submission of patient satisfaction surveys.
To perform any other duties commensurate with the post.
