Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated nurse who is looking for a new challenge in Interventional Radiology in the Regional Vascular Anomalies service at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
You will be an experienced qualified nurse who will work within the vascular anomalies clinical nurse specialist team, including multidisciplinary professionals, to deliver a high quality service to both paediatric and adult patients with vascular anomalies. Alongside the vascular anomalies service, you will also be involved in and contribute to the patient flow service assisting with preparing elective patients for their procedures and follow up post procedure.
You will have excellent organisational skills, have an understanding of clinical governance and will provide specialist nursing care and advice to a defined caseload of patients from diagnosis of a vascular anomaly, through their treatment and continuing follow-up, providing support management at key points in their journey.
You will also development of this speciality service, with regards to new treatments and service development, whilst ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Main duties of the job
The Jobholder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload. The jobholder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care.
The jobholder will provide specialist nursing care, treatment and advice to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the speciality service. The jobholder will ensure cost effective use of resources.
The job holder will support the development of interdisciplinary and whole service working. As a role model they will promote the sharing of good practice and delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care. The job holder will provide training and education to staff groups, patients and families/carers.

The Radiology service at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals delivers a diagnostic and treatment service for approximately 600,000 patients a year on 6 sites. The Service comprises several imaging modalities, providing a high quality clinical radiology service for patients.
