Job summary
Leeds Radiology currently has several exciting opportunities for keen, motivated and enthusiastic Radiographers and Student Radiographers. The role opportunities at LTHT include cross-site Plain Film rotation between two hospital sites, plain film and modality rotation or a role within specialised radiology modalities including Dental, CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheter Labs. Rotational roles within LTHT will allow you to develop and gain a broad depth of experience in various specialised aspects of our radiology service.
Our established preceptorship programme includes a structured induction programme and competency training, one-to-one support and regular review meetings to ensure you feel supported as you develop your skills, knowledge and experience.
CPD as a newly qualified Radiographer in plain film includes red dot with progression to primary commenting evaluation and NG tube hot commenting.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 5 plain film Radiographer main duties will include undertaking a wide range of general radiographic examinations in the emergency department and minor injury units, as well as in outpatient and inpatient departments. In addition, duties will include performing portable examinations in the resuscitation department and on general wards, as well on high dependency and intensive care units. As a Band 5 Radiographer you will be required to provide imaging in theatre to support services such as Urology, Trauma, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery. You be required to use a variety of radiographic equipment to produce high quality images. Full equipment training will be provided as part of the preceptorship programme, as well training on imaging protocols and standards of image quality. As a Band 5 Radiographer you will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidates will need to be flexible and will participate in department 24/7 shift patterns.
