Job summary
The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trusts Medical Illustration Service is looking to appoint two experienced full time Clinical Photographers; these posts are fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity; we are also able to offer these posts as secondment opportunities
Our clinical photographers work within Medical Illustration across Leeds Teaching Hospitals Sites and off-site clinics and locations.
Within Medical Illustration we provide a range of photography, design, video, illustration, ophthalmic imaging and services to the Trust as well as to external clients.
In order to apply for this post you will need experience in photography, clinical photography, ophthalmic imaging and video production and have:
Minimum HND/degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant media qualification and Certificate in Clinical Photography (Graduate or Post Graduate) or a BSc Clinical Photography/Medical Illustration photography.
A portfolio of work (demonstrating a range of clinical & non-clinical photographic skills) to present at interview.
Experience of clinical & non-clinical photography.
Ideally you will be able to use the skills you have already obtained to undertake work to our standard operating procedures in medical illustration.

Main duties of the job
To become one of our clinical photographers you will have experience of undertaking clinical and non-clinical photography and video and also ophthalmic imaging procedures
Our clinical photographers undertake photography in our clinical photography studios, clinics and wards and also undertake a range of ophthalmic imaging procedures including fluorescein angiography, ICG, OPTOS, OCT, slit lamp and external eye photography.
Clinical photographers also shoot clinical and non-clinical video and undertake post production.
We are a busy service that undertakes 50,000+ requests a year and operate across all sites in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, including St James's University Hospital, The Leeds General Infirmary, Seacroft Hospital, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Wharfedale Hospital and sometimes off site.
