We
have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidates to join our Surgical
Oncology administrative team as a medical secretary. You will work closely with the Endocrine
surgeons, providing comprehensive secretarial support and ensuring all our
typing targets are met, supporting the various referral to treatment targets,
whilst also being responsible for patient admissions and other wider admin
duties. Your role will include taking
telephone calls from various departments in the Trust, our patients and other
clinical units. Candidates will need excellent communication skills, the
ability to work as part of a team, to work under minimal supervision and the
ability to meet deadlines. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive
experienced admin and clerical team.

Surgical Oncology team consists of: Breast Surgery, Endocrine Surgery,
Gynaecology Oncology and Thoracic Surgery working with other colleagues in
the Oncology CSU. All teams work collaboratively to produce effective support
for our patients and clinical colleagues.
