Job summary

We have an exciting new job opportunity within our department. The Assistant Business Manager will assist with the day-to-day operational management of the Managed Equipment Service (MES) contract for Bexley Wing which will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

They will assist with providing specialist advice and professional equipment services to the Trust on all matters pertaining to the MES, including advice to senior management of the Trust.

Assist in the design and evaluation process for the Major Medical Equipment to be replaced throughout the MES contract term, from initial selection to installation and Technical Acceptance.

The post holder will assist in the delivery of the Trusts annual Medical & Scientific Equipment (MSE) capital programme under the direction of the MSE Programme Manager (Head of Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering).

They will provide support in the day-to-day operational management of the MSE programme and provide general business support to ensure that the process is as efficient and as effective as possible.

Main duties of the job

Professional & Managerial

Managed Equipment Service - the job holder will:

Assist with the day-to-day operational management of the contract as it relates to the Bexley Wing MES and manage relations with the MES provider/other stakeholders.

Assist in providing specialist advice and professional equipment services to the Trust on all matters pertaining to the MES, including advice to senior management of the Trust.

Assist in the design and evaluation process for the Major Medical Equipment to be replaced throughout the MES contract term, from initial selection to installation and Technical Acceptance.

Medical & Scientific Equipment (MSE) programme - the job holder will:

Assist in the delivery of the Trusts annual Medical & Scientific Equipment (MSE) capital programme under the direction of the MSE Programme Manager (Head of Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering) in order to provide support in the day-to-day operational management of the MSE programme and provide general business support to ensure that the process is as efficient and as effective as possible.
