Teaching Hospitals are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Band 5
nursing workforce on Ward J16 within the Speciality and Integrated Medicine
Clinical Service Unit (CSU). We are looking for enthusiastic registered nurses
to join our friendly nursing team either full time or part time permanent post.
J16
is a 21 bedded Older Adult Medical Ward, accommodating a mixture of female and
male patients of the ages 70 and over. Successful candidates will be
responsible for leading the staff and working in close collaboration with the
MDT across Specialty Integrated Medicine.
The
ward provides a high standard of quality care for all of our patients and we
are looking for highly skilled nurses to contribute to the fantastic work that
is being carried out on J16. The patients on J16 have a wide variety of care
needs therefore we are looking for highly motivated, dynamic individuals with
the ability to enable and empower a team whilst remaining patient centred.
Main duties of the job
You
will be responsible for the nursing assessments as well as at times when you
are needed to be in charge, the operational running of the ward and all it
encompasses. You will need to provide assurance that standards of care are met
and sustained at all times.
You
will have the autonomy to practice to ensure a high level of timely care is
delivered. Previous experience of being able to be able to take charge on shift
is desirable but not required.

- Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or 2
- Has current registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register.
- Willing to undergo training as necessary
