Job summary
We
are looking for a compassionate and motivated Band 4 Registered Nurse
Associate to join our Childrens Haematology and Oncology Service. This is an
exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled, supportive
multidisciplinary team caring for children and young people undergoing
treatment for cancer and blood disorders.
You
will play a key role in providing high-quality, safe and family-centred care,
supporting children through investigations, treatments and day-to-day
clinical needs. The role includes delivering delegated nursing care,
supporting procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and working
closely with families to ensure a positive experience during challenging
times.
We
are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to
developing specialist skills. You will be supported through induction,
education and ongoing professional development within our friendly, dedicated
team.

Main duties of the job
To
provide and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and
evaluation of individualised programmes of care.
To
deliver care without supervision

participate in the in-service training, preceptorship and mentorship of
Apprentices and learners.

take responsibility as the prime care provider for a group of patients.
To

Childrens Hospital is one of the largest childrens hospitals in the UK and is
part of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Based in one of the fastest

North of England. The Childrens and Teenage Oncology and Haematology service
incorporates a Principal Treatment Centre for Children, and for Teenagers and
Young Adults (TYA) with Cancer. We have a JACIE accredited Stem Cell Transplant
Unit for children and young people, which forms part of the West Yorkshire Bone
Marrow Transplant programme. We care for children and young people with a range
of non-malignant haematological disorders; Leeds is a Comprehensive Care Centre
for Haemophilia and a Specialist Centre for Haemoglobinopathy.
