The
Oncology Clinical Service Unit has 9 in-patient wards, we are recruiting to
posts on J84, J88, J89 and J93. The wards provide 24 hours can and you will be
required to work and night shifts. There are a number of full- time and
part-time positions.
As
a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality,
patient-centred care to patients with complex care needs.
You
will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating
evidence-based nursing care, supporting patients through their treatment.
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to
holistic care, discharge planning, and patient education.
This

Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will be working as part of a team of highly skilled
multi-disciplinary team member to deliver direct and indirect care to patients.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluation
of patient care to the highest standards. Lead and support a team of Clinical
Support Workers and apprentices on a shift-by-shift basis. Act as a role model,
demonstrating compassionate, patient-centred care. Participate in audits,
quality improvement initiatives, and staff education. Work collaboratively
across the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and
patient-focused care.
Effective
communication will be demonstrated at all times, liaising closely with other
health professionals and departments ensuring patients and relatives are kept
informed.
