Job summary

Within the Abdominal Medicine and Surgical service unit at St James University Hospital, a fantastic exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen. We are currently looking for various dynamic self-motivated Band 5 staff nurses to join our teams in various wards.

J83 is a Hepatology ward with a specialist interest in Liver Transplantation. Additionally, we have opened a High Observations (HOBS) area to support our patients following varying surgical procedures in the immediate post-operative period.

J82 Is an Upper GI and Pancreas ward which cares for acute and elective patient with varying serious conditions of the pancreas and Upper GI tract.

J42 is a Urology ward caring for patient with acute and elective patients with concerns relating to their urinary tract.

Renal services including inpatient wards J49 and J50 caring for patient with acute and chronic kidney disease, J48 Adult Haemodialysis (HD) Unit which provides HD for patients with chronic and acute renal failure, including outreach services and a Renal Intervention Centre offering day-case assessment and treatment.

Main duties of the job

We are now looking to recruit band 5 nursing roles to each area to support the team to deliver the best patient care. You need to be an NMC registered Adult nurse or student pending PIN number.
