Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Ear, Nose and Throat Outpatient department for a Band 2 Clinical Support Worker to join our team. If you have a passion for delivering high quality care to patients we would like to hear from you. There will be opportunities to undertake training and education including completion of the Care Certificate.
The jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of the multi-disciplinary team and the flow of patients through the department.
The jobholder will undertake a range of delegated clinical patient care duties and will be expected to work under direct or indirect supervision by a registered practitioner.
The post will be based at the LGI but there will be a requirement to cover numerous clinic areas within Outpatient CSU. We work over 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).
Main duties of the job
The jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of and supervised by a registered practitioner.
The jobholder will assist in the overall implementation of care as part of the multi professional team. The jobholder is expected to deliver and maintain high standards of acute and planned care. The jobholder will be skilled in taking appropriate action(s) to achieve the planned outcome.
The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care.
The jobholder will be expected to practice in accordance with Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (LTHT) policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements and operate within defined competency boundaries.
The jobholder will work within a ward or clinical department.
