We
have an exciting opportunity within our CSU to join our Perioperative Team.
We are looking for Clinical Support Workers who would like to develop their
skills and take on a new challenge within Theatres.
Patients
are often at their most vulnerable whilst in our care and therefore high
quality and safe care is paramount. If this is something you are interested
in this could be the role for you.
Main duties of the job
We
are currently recruiting to the below teams:
- PACU LGI (24/7 Service)
- Head and Neck LGI (Monday - Friday
Service)
- Cardiac LGI (24/7 Service)
- Acutes and Obstetrics LGI (24/7
Service)
- Trauma LGI (24/7 Service)
- Gynaecology and Ophthalmology
SJUHs(Monday - Friday Service with On Call Commitment)
- David Beevers Day Surgery(Monday -
Friday Service)
You
will be directly involved in patient care, accountable items checks, prepping
of equipment, cleaning of patient environments and much more.
We
have link roles for our perioperative assistants, including IPC, Waste
Reduction, Pressure Area care and more.

working. You will be supported with a Perioperative specific induction and
preceptorship program. All new starters
to T&A will get a supernumerary period and will be supported with a mentor.

jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect
compassionate care for patients in support of and under the supervision of a
registered practitioner.
The
jobholder will assist in the overall implementation of care as part of the
multi professional team. The jobholder is expected to deliver and maintain high
standards of perioperative care. The jobholder will be skilled in taking
appropriate action(s) to achieve the planned outcome.
The
jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective
care.
The
jobholder will be expected to practice in accordance with Leeds Teaching
Hospital NHS Trust (LTHT) policies, guidelines, standards and statutory
requirements and operate within defined competency boundaries
