An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the spinal specialist nurse team within the spinal surgery service in LTHT. Experience in spinal surgery nursing is not essential, but desirable.
Main duties of the job
We offer a challenging and dynamic clinical learning environment dealing with a wide range of spinal patients, including elective surgery, acute surgery, spinal fractures, dealing with both operative and non-operative treatments.
You should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change; our commitment to you, as a forward-thinking team, will be individualised clinical development, access to teachings ensuring you have every opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in spinal surgery. We can offer a range of education and development opportunities, including in-house training and external courses. You will be expected to participate in audit & research to help develop and shape the future of spinal surgery in Leeds.
You will be working as part of a busy multi-disciplinary team who are dedicated in providing individualised, evidence based spinal surgery management. The post holder will be expected to work both autonomously and closely with spinal clinicians and across a range of specialities to meet the needs of the service.
