Job summary
We
are looking for a team player who can work to a high professional standard to
join the Pain Management Secretarial team. The post holder will be focusing
on the typing and administration for our Pain Management MDT team.
Full
training for the role will be provided. The successful applicant should
possess good organisational & communication skills and be computer
literate. Your ability to communicate will be assessed throughout your online
application & interview. Applicants should have previous secretarial
experience, NHS experience is desirable but not essential, & be educated
to GCSE standard (or equivalent).
Main duties of the job
The
role will involve general secretarial duties which include the typing of
correspondence, clinic letters, preparing the MDT/Audit meetings, dealing
with telephone enquiries and supporting the various referral to treatment
targets. You will expected to communicate with consultants and patients via
telephone, email and face to face.
This
is a full-time post. 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday.

multiple tasks whilst supporting the other band 4 Medical Secretaries. The
ability to work using your own initiative but also as part of a team is
essential.

They will support and administer processes to sustain the Consultants practice through administrative protocols, processes and procedures in line with service needs. They must be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people including patients, medical staff and colleagues.
